Let's explore this diverse and fascinating world of NFT art together 🔥
I am excited to introduce you, our first MRA guest, Marlua! She is a renowned artist in the Dotsama community and an amazing person. She recently launched 2 new NFT collections on Raresama NFT marketplace, Imagination and Diversity with a total volume of $158k $sama. Lets see how her NFT journey began and what she has to share with us!
Hello Marlua! Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Hello there! My name is Marta. I'm a 28-year- old Croatian. My hobbies are cooking and as you all know painting and my favorite sport is tennis. I even played it for 14 years.
When did your crypto journey begin? And how did you decide to get involved with NFTs?
I would say my crypto journey started in the same year as my NFT journey around August 2021., My husband started exploring more and more about crypto so we found out about Singular from a friend and that is actually it. We wanted to give it a go and here we are.
How would you describe your style, and how has it evolved over the years?
I would describe my art as expressionism and neo-expressionism. I think I'm evolving every day, I try to get better and almost everyday trying to do something cool and new. Also think my core of the art remained the same.
What’s your goal when making art?
My goal is usually simple, to transfer an emotion when you look at the paintings. Negative or positive it doesn't matter, we are made of both. I like to focus on the eyes because they show you something that you can't explain.
Can you walk us through your creative process for creating an NFT from start to finish?
I try to write what I feel and what is the idea behind the painting I am planning to make. If not I just go with the flow, like I am being guided by myself. I start with the background and idea comes naturally, often when you take that approach you fail several times before creating something that please your eyes.
How important is community engagement and feedback to you? Do you have any future plans for the holders of your NFTs?
Community engagement is important a lot, also feedback, you always have to put your community before yourself as an individual because I always said without community you are "nothing". Art stays but I suppose you know what I mean. Regarding future plans I really don't have them, those are sets of paintings and people know it :) .Maybe something pops up in the future :)
Which NFT that you have created are you most proud of?
Not yet showcased but you will see. It's a collaboration with Under. He really put a hard task in front of me, but I think we managed to make it look perfect.
How do you think the NFT space will evolve in the coming years?
I think NFT space will develop in the gaming industry the most, hopefully in 5-10 years from now art will get more appreciated. Even though it is appreciated but also think it is sometimes undervalued. What makes it incredible that we are all collectors of some kind.
What kind of advice would you give to artists who want to enter the NFT world right now?
First, explore what you want to do, let people get to know you, introduce yourself, try to connect, create your own community, be yourself and be unique. And also one more thing: be patient and stick to your ideas/vision or goals.
Final question, What should we expect from you in 2023? And are there any other thoughts you want to leave with our readers?
I don't know, the baby is coming in 2 months so I can't promise a lot. Thank you for taking your time to learn and hear more about me. Enjoy your day and stay safe out there.
A big thanks to Marlua who participated, it was a big honor!
